How NeuroNatal was Born

I love telling a story!
For 37 years, I felt like an outsider. Like that end slice of the loaf of bread that is only acceptable to 'some' people. I spent my life people-pleasing and avoiding criticism because I couldn't bear the thought of not being liked. I struggled with my mental health and didn't understand a lot of the world around me or why I felt the way I did.
I was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and it was like someone gifted me the user manual for my life. It's all been clicking into place ever since. Call it an "enlightenment". Having been a midwife for over a decade, I had never considered my midwifery practice through a neurodivergent lens, yet now that is the only perspective I can see.
